Jonathan Daviss of Netflix's 'Outer Banks' is in the house

I’m looking for the Titans to be competitive in this game, to the surprise of some I’m sure, largely because this is exactly the kind of moment under Mike Vrabel — major adversity, powerful opponent, counted out — that has produced some of the Titans’ best performances.

Of course, losing the team’s best player and a bona fide MVP candidate is new territory. But the Titans have located the kind of pass rush that can help a banged-up secondary, and safety Kevin Byard is making huge plays at an All-Pro level. I think the defense will keep the score manageable, and then it’s up to Ryan Tannehill and the Derrick Henry-less offense to figure things out.

It doesn’t help at all that right guard Nate Davis (concussion) is out for this matchup against Aaron Donald and Co. It does help that Julio Jones is back and looked good this week. As long as A.J. Brown (knee, questionable) can go and be close to his recent explosiveness, this offense has a chance.

I’d expect Adrian Peterson to get the most carries among the running back trio, but how many? How effective can he be right away? That will be fascinating.
