Will Smiths Kids Reportedly Feel Bad for Their Dad Amid Jada Pinkett Smiths Memoir Relea

Publish date: 2024-06-06

While we’ve become more than familiar with how Jada Pinkett Smith feels about the release of her new memoir, Worthy, in recent weeks (see: any of the major bombshells she’s dropped about her marriage, or lack thereof, to Will Smith), we’ve yet to really hear about how her and Will’s children feel — until now.

According to a source for Entertainment Tonight, Willow and Jaden Smith, along with Will’s son Trey Smith, “feel bad for their dad with all the recent headlines about their parents.” The source added that the children “know he has been going through a lot lately, and this isn’t helping.”

The source then explained Jaden, Willow, and Trey “wish some of their family’s private matters remained private.”

Although Will has yet to speak on the matter publicly — aside from sharing a cheeky Instagram post to inform followers that he has his “Notifications off” — the source also shared that Smith is “trying to stay busy and has been hanging out with his good friends and his kids” to distract himself from the memoir’s buzz.

"He's trying not to let any outside noise impact him. Will loves Jada and feels like he has always had her back and always will,” the source continued. “He has been trying to be supportive, while also taking care of himself.”

As for how Willow, Jaden, and Trey feel about the memoir as a whole, Pinkett Smith recently told InStyle that while Willow “loved” the book, she wasn’t sure if Jaden and Trey had gotten around to reading it yet.

“She couldn't wait, she's like, ‘Mom, I'm taking this copy. I got to finish my read.’ She was super excited about it,” Jada shared. “But the boys [Jaden and Trey], I just told them what was in it. They'll read it eventually.”
